The 99CDL-8 range of "SuperSpeed USB" Type A (male) to Type B (male) cables support a data transfer rate up to 5 Gbit's (625 MB's), which is about ten times faster than USB 2.0 technology.

This is a Type A to A cable; it is designed to connect a Host to a Device. These cables are often used to connect a Host computer to a faceplate with a Type A socket.

Please note: This is not used to connect two computers together. Attempting to do so may damage equipment.

The official name for this cable would be USB3.2 Gen 1. (Previously known as USB3.1 Gen 1 and USB 3.0)
